Treatment of pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should only be done after prior consultation with a doctor. In case of doubt, treatment should be avoided.
The system should not be used if the treated person has any of the following symptoms in the eye area where the light may shine: abrasions, keloids or unhealed scars, herpes, psoriasis, other infectious or inflammatory skin diseases, fungal infections, wounds, sunburn, neurodermatitis, or skin cancer.
The system should also not be used if the user or treated person has any of the following conditions:
Thyroid disorders, epilepsy, polymorphic light eruption, photosensitivity, radiation or chemotherapy, hemophilia. If IPL or laser treatments were performed in the treatment area within the last 21 days, or if surgical procedures were done in that area within the past 3 months.
The system should not be used if the user or treated person is taking photosensitizing medications such as neuroleptics, systemic dermatologics, antiepileptics, antihistamines, cytotoxic substances, antipsychotics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, photosensitizing substances (PDT), vitamin A derivatives (retinoids), or suffers from lupus erythematosus, a photosensitive eczema in the treatment area, or albinism.
